My cousin Howie knows sports. He set me straight immediately after the 2023 draft, praising the pick of Jalin Hyatt in Round 3. It was prescient. Jalin Hyatt is going to be a star. Howie is back with some more candid observations on the Giants: First off, let’s understand that even if Saquon does play that game, the result is the same. Whoever controls the line of scrimmage … [Read more...] about Howie S recaps the Gmen

I actually thought the Giants were somewhat competitive. It hurts when your OL has Lemieux as a turnstile. Neal still has issues. The Defense couldn’t get off the field with too many surrendered 3rd down conversions. The 49ers do flares and screens, so it’s sickening when they do a WR bubble screen and grab 30 on a 3rd & 15. The flags were disgusting. Hyatt had roughly … [Read more...] about SF 30 NYG 12
NYG 31 AZ 28
The Thrilla in Arizona. Biggest comeback since 1949. AZ is not a good team, but there was a lot of heart in that 2nd half turnaround. When it was 60-0 at halftime, it felt like a lot of gaslighting. Was Dallas’s defense that good? Possibly. Were both players and coaches equally culpable on Sunday night? Yes. Will opposing Defenses mimic what Dallas did (loaded box) and once again dare … [Read more...] about Evan Neal
DAL 26 NYG 0 Halftime
This is my first halftime post ever. An avalanche of mistakes and poor play has ended the game before it seemingly started. An amazing set of 3 errors on 3 plays created a 10-14 point swing. With the Giants in the red zone, a Thomas false start, bad snap from JMS and Special Teams blocked FG returned for a TD was the first blow. A Barkley catch on 3rd down is popped … [Read more...] about DAL 26 NYG 0 Halftime
