Defense was -18 when on the field. Offense was -4 when on the field. Dan Schneier of Big Blue Banter broke down the Offensive film with Nick Falato. He asked aloud if Daniel Jones’ 2nd neck injury has impacted his mechanics. No, he didn’t make apologies, as they ripped Jones for horrible play. Carl Banks said that LT, before they walked on for the 100th halftime … [Read more...] about Quick Takes Post Debacle
MIN 28 NYG 6
There was not a single good thing in this game. The team was flat against a perfunctory Viking team. Outcoached. 9 penalties. Dropped balls. No pass rush. Sam Darnold (!) Turkey carving. No in-game adjustments. Daniel Jones deserves a skewering. That Pick 6 was as ugly as the one in preseason. He is tentative. He can’t process. Tuck and run. Missed open receivers. End of Training Camp
I wish we had better news from the final preseason game vs the Jets. JMS went out with an ankle (he should be starting Week 1). Neal gave up a turnstile sack. Not good. Somehow, the margin for error is once again tight for the Offensive Line. We are hopeful that the depth displayed by Carmen Bricillo’s second unit vs the Lions and Texans will project to the regular season. Yet … [Read more...] about End of Training Camp
