The collection is now available at Mets House in Union Square, NYON’s flagship store in Nolita, online on NYON’s website, and at Citi Field.
Today, the New York Mets and New York or Nowhere (NYON) announced the launch of their co-branded collection, in partnership with New Era Cap and Major League Baseball. The collection consists of 52 pieces for adults and kids, including varsity jackets, hats, hoodies, crew neck sweatshirts, and t-shirts.
The launch campaign featured Mets legend and Hall of Famer Mike Piazza donning several pieces of the new apparel and headwear. The collection is now available at select locations, including Mets House in Union Square, NYON’s flagship store in Nolita, online through newyorkornowhere.com and at Citi Field, beginning with ticketed fans attending tonight’s game.
“It’s been a tremendous honor to collaborate with the Mets on this project,” said Quincy Moore, NYON’s Creative Director. “We approached this partnership with a deep sense of respect for the team and its legacy, which extends far beyond baseball and even New York herself. The resulting collection is one of NYON’s best – from the product to the content and everything in between. I’m really excited for people to see it.”
The popular NYON label has already partnered with other New York City cultural institutions like Saturday Night Live and the New York City marathon. The Knicks, Yankees, and Rangers also already have NYON collections. Now the Mets are one of the cool kids too. “The Mets have always had soul, but now it feels like there’s an aura surrounding the team, especially after last season’s magical run and the [Juan] Soto signing,” Moore said to Matthew Roberson of GQ a few days before the launch. “They deserve all of our attention. They’re one of the best organizations—with the most loyal and passionate fans—in professional sports.”
“Over the past few years, our vision for team merchandise has evolved beyond the standard ballpark apparel,” said James James Benesh, the Mets’ VP of Ballpark Experience in the same GQ interview. “We’ve made a concentrated effort to focus on strategic collabs with culturally relevant, fashion-forward lifestyle brands. That’s allowed us to expand and offer a much wider array of female offerings and streetwear pieces. This started with Aimé Leon Dore and Siegelman Stable, and now partnering with New York or Nowhere is a huge next step.”
Since the collection’s launch online just a few short hours ago at 11:00am E.T., some pieces have already sold out and my sources on the ground report that the lines at Mets House and NYON’s flagship store stretch city blocks. So if you’re interested in the collection, hurry up and get your hands on it before it’s gone!
