Fans are invited to watch a potential sixth game with fellow fans on the big screen at Citi Field.
The Mets have announced they will host their third Watch Party of the MLB postseason on Sunday, October 20 at Citi Field as the Mets (hope to) face the Dodgers in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series. The Mets previously hosted watch parties for Game 3 of the Wild Card round and Game 1 of the National League Division Series. It’s worth noting that the Mets won both of those games in thrilling fashion.
Fans can purchase tickets to the Watch Party for $10, with all net proceeds going to the Amazin’ Mets Foundation. The Mets are offering complimentary parking for all fans in attendance, as well as select $5 concessions, similar to what they did on Tuesdays at the stadium this year. Fans will be treated to pre-game entertainment, prizes, and more. The lot will open at 6:00 p.m., with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. for an 8:08 p.m. first pitch.
Following the team’s Game 3 loss, there are three possible outcomes for the Watch Party:
- The Mets win the next two games, in which case they could be playing for a chance to punch their ticket to the World Series.
- The Mets split the next two games, in which case they will be playing to force a Game 7 on Monday, October 21.
- The Mets drop the next two games, in which case there will be no Game 6 and fans will receive a refund “within seven business days to the same payment method that was used to make the purchase”.
