Francisco Lindor and the Mets return to Citi Field for playoff baseball today.
Ahead of postseason baseball returning to Citi Field later this afternoon, the Mets announced their lineup for an all important third game of the National League Division Seires against the Phillies.
After J.D. Martinez and Harrison Bader started Sunday’s game against a left hander, the Mets are sending out the exact same lineup they used for their Game 1 victory on Saturday in Philadelphia. Jesse Winker returns to the DH spot, while Tyrone Taylor will be in centerfield.
Here’s the full lineup.
- Francisco Lindor – SS
- Mark Vientos – 3B
- Brandon Nimmo – LF
- Pete Alonso – 1B
- Jose Iglesias – 2B
- Jesse Winker – DH
- Starling Marte – RF
- Tyrone Taylor – CF
- Francisco Álvarez – C
LHP – Sean Manaea
Of note, Francisco Lindor is appearing in his first game at Citi Field in exactly a month. He last played in Queens against the Reds on Sunday, September 8.
