The Mets fell 6-3 to the Twins Tuesday night. Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double, and Juan Soto hit a home run for a second consecutive game. The pitching looked mortal, finally, with Tylor Megill surrendering four runs (only two earned) in five innings. Max Kranick finally had a misstep, going 1.2 innings and giving up two more runs to put the game well and truly out of reach.
