Meet the Mets
In a game that felt all too familiar, the Mets once again came up short in Atlanta in late September. Luis Severino got the start, and after working through trouble in the first inning, saw it all come crashing down in the third, allowing three runs, and another in the fourth before his night ended. At the plate, the Mets’ offense was lifeless, their lone run on the night coming from a Mark Vientos homer in the late innings. The loss puts the Braves just one game back of the Mets in the Wild Card standings.
