Mark Cuban steps into the Tank.
Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart are at it again, which means we here at Chemistry Class are too. In this series, we highlight the historically strong off-the-court chemistry among the New York Knicks. There’s no better way to highlight it during the offseason than through the Roommates Show, hosted by two of our favorite Nova Knicks.
For this episode of the Roommates Show, Dallas Mavericks owner (and Shark Tank legend) Mark Cuban joins the podcast and discusses a wide variety of things. There are some absolute gems in this episode, and it seems as if the show is starting to bring in higher-profile guests than ever before. The show’s trajectory is only pointing up.
Enough about me. If you’re not in the mood to sit through 88 minutes of the podcast, no worries. I did it for you. Here are the highlights, freshly served.
Mark Cuban on why the Mavericks picked Jalen Brunson on draft night:
“A little bit chubby, not quite as fast, not super athletic, but he’s a winner.”
Cuban on Brunson making an all-NBA team:
Josh Hart on his Dallas stats over his career:
“These might be the worst shooting splits I could have.”
Mark AND Jalen on JB’s free agency, leaving the Mavericks for the Knicks
Probably the highlight of the entire episode. Watching these two discuss Brunson’s departure is worth all the money in the world. Take a couple minutes out of your day and check this out.
Bonus: Mark discussing his last season of Shark Tank:
Overall, this is one of the most insightful NBA podcast episodes I’ve ever seen. The openness between JB and Cuban is unbelievable in this episode, and there are too many clips to discuss to fit in this thread. It’s incredible seeing this podcast as an outlet for the players to allow the public to peek into some behind-the-scenes conversations.
When there’s a new episode out, you know that we’ll be back for more! See you next time in Chemistry Class!
