Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau is catching a lot of heat for his approach to Sunday’s Game 4 vs. the Pacers.
New York came into the matchup hobbled and undermanned, which had fans on social media wondering why Thibodeau didn’t decide to sit his starters despite the game getting completely out of hand by the third quarter.
“Tom Thibodeau playing his starters 45 minutes per game is starting to catch up to them. Horrible coach man,” a user said.
“Thibodeau should pull starters,” Matt Thomas tweeted. “This one is long over.”
“If Thibodeau doesn’t sit his starters for the 4th Q., he needs his head checked,” another person claimed.
“It is reckless and apathetic if Thibodeau doesn’t pull the starters for the rest of this game and gives them a breather heading back to NY. This game isn’t salvageable so suck up your ego and bring your bench before more players get unnecessarily hurt,” another warned.
“The New York knicks starters has a officially ran out of gas lol Tom Thibodeau should be fired for running them boys to the ground.”
The Knicks are down 40 with nine minutes to go in the fourth. This one is clearly over but Thibs has never been one to throw in the towel. We’ll see what he ultimately decides to do as the clock ticks down…
