Road trip express, first stop Miami.
Tonight, the New York Knicks (1-2) kick off a four-game road trip in Miami for the first of three scheduled regular-season games against the Heat (2-1). New York won the last season series 2-1, but have lost eight of their last ten at the Kaseya Center.
To begin the current campaign, the Heat are struggling to top 105 points per game and shoot 35% from deep, while the Knicks average 112 and hit 38%. Miami collects more rebounds, steals, and blocks per game than New York, however, and the shorthanded Knicks will find them a handful tonight. The Floridians were fifth in defense last season; like the Cavs loss, this should be another game won and lost in the trenches.
Tip off is 7:30 p.m. EST on MSG Network and NBA League Pass. This is your game thread. This is Hot Hot Hoops. Please don’t post large photos, GIFs, or links to illegal streams in the thread. Behave yo’selves. And go Knicks!
