New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson isn’t close to being satisfied.
After the Indiana Pacers eliminated the Knicks, he told the media that this season was not a success despite getting to the second round of the NBA playoffs.
Jalen Brunson with a one-word answer when asked if he would consider this season a success, given how they overcame injuries:
“No.”

That’s the response of someone who wanted to win a championship this year.
Despite getting eliminated, the Knicks still had a strong season and will be a contender heading into the 2024-25 season. They’ll also have Brunson back fully healthy along with Donte DiVincenzo back in the fold.
DiVincenzo led all Knicks players with 39 points as the Knicks lost Game 7 by 21, 130-109. Brunson had 17 points before he was forced to exit the game due to a broken hand.
Alec Burks also had a strong effort with 26 points but the Knicks couldn’t overcome their slow start or slow down the Pacers’ offensive attack.
The Pacers will now meet the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. The winner of that series will play in the NBA Finals in June.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks await the winner of the Nuggets-Timberwolves series in the Western Conference Finals, which concludes on Sunday night.
