Josh Hart on Mikal Bridges: I know him. I know he’s not worried about it. I’m not worried about him. I think… I’m not calling you out specifically, or whoever, but the media and, you know, people are killing him. He’s in a new situation. He’s in a place where he’s been, what, 18 games in a different role than he’s played the last four years. So, it’s our job to get him going. All the other BS about what we gave up, this, that, and the other—it means nothing. If we win and we make a championship, ain’t nobody gonna give a damn about how many picks we gave up. We could give up 15 picks—it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, we’re trying to win a championship. He’s going to be a key piece of that, and we need to continue to build him up. If you go out there and nitpick everything that he does, that’s only a detriment to him, and, you know, we’re all going to have a conversation about that.

Bridges’ Brooklyn exit came with controversy. Reports said the 28-year-old informed the Nets that he wanted to be traded to the Knicks — where he would join Villanova teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart — and was willing to play hardball to force his way there. However, Bridges denied the claims in the weeks following the deal. He told ClutchPoints on Sunday that he only had one regret from his time in Brooklyn. “The only thing I can say about that is I wish we had more wins. That’s pretty much it,” Bridges said. “I control what I can control. But there’s a lot of my guys over there. I’m still close with a lot of those people, even in the front office. They’re great people, so [I’m] never mad about it with them.” -via Clutch Points / November 18, 2024

Josh Hart cemented his place in one Knicks fan’s heart. After one blue and orange supporter was chided on social media over his seat up in the nosebleeds for the Knicks’ win over the Bucks on Friday, Hart reached out to hook the fan up. The fan, who goes by @BeenHim16 on X and whose real name is Rouk, reposted several of the comments from people making fun of his seat, which caught the attention of Hart, who replied that the fan should check his direct messages because he was sending him tickets. Hart was a man of his word, and on Wednesday, Rouk was behind one of the baskets in courtside seats that the Knicks star had hooked him up with. “It’s crazy. I did not expect this at all,” Rouk told SNY’s Ian Begley. -via New York Post / November 14, 2024

He draws a lot of attention and then you have Karl popping a lot.” “You just want to make it hard on him.” Devin Booker on rookie Oso Ighodaro, Knicks Jalen Brunson/Karl-Anthony Towns duo and Mikal Bridges. #Suns pic.x.com/tvV78CfExR -via Twitter @DuaneRankin / November 20, 2024
