The Knicks and T’Wolves shook things up on Saturday with a late offseason trade that sent All-Star forward Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and a first-round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns.
The trade alters the landscape on both sides of the league’s playoff bracket and it doesn’t sound like Randle’s wife, Kendra, sees it as a bad thing. Taking to social media in the aftermath of the deal, the Randle family seemed to embrace the change of scenery.
“Scary hours,” Kendra said via her IG Story with ghost and fire emojis. “Minnesota here we come.” She also reposted a photo of Randle in a T’Wolves uniform with several heart-eyes.
Randle also received some sendoffs from the Knicks faithful which Kendra shared.
“The city will miss you brother! Congrats @timberwolves on landing a class act,” Yoni Ben-Yehuda said.
“best of luck in Minnesota!” another posted.
“Wishing nothing but the best to @juliusrandle30, @kendrarandle_ and the family!” Anthony Donahue replied. “Thank you for all you’ve done here! You will be missed!”
Randle spent the last five years playing for New York’s flagship team and averaged 24 points, 9.2 rebounds and five assists per game in 2023.
Unfortunately, his season ended prematurely due to shoulder surgery right before the Knicks’ playoff run. But he should be good to go by the time Minnesota tips off the season against the Lakers next month.
