The New York Knicks are engaging in trade discussions for Quentin Grimes, sources told Fred Katz of The Athletic.
The Knicks are reportedly looking for a player who could help the team today while still having an attractive enough contract to deal this summer for a star player. They are targeting contracts in the teens or low $20 million that they could repackage in another deal.
The team is focused on adding another ballhandler to spell Jalen Brunson.
The Knicks also still plan to trade for another star, though believe they won’t have a chance until this summer.
