A starter and a super-sub will soon join the club.
The Knicks had a pretty uneventful trade deadline, to say the least. Despite constant rumors about their desire to trade for some more depth, the only thing they ended up doing was acquiring Delon Wright for Jericho Sims. Now, the Knicks, a team that is short on depth, must rely on getting their two currently injured players back, and hope that they can stay healthy down the stretch. The good news, though, is that they seem to be making some progress.
OG Anunoby, who has missed the last three games with a foot injury, is reportedly dealing with an “irritating” injury rather than something more structural, and is targeting a return post All-Star break. If he can return for the Knicks’ first game after the break, Anunoby would miss a total of just five games which is significantly less than the amount of games a lot of Knicks fans feared he would miss.
Even if he is out a little longer than that though, it’s hard to look at all of this as anything but good news for the Knicks, considering some thought he’d be out until April or even longer.

As far as Mitchell Robinson goes, the big man, who has been sidelined the entire season with off-season surgery, is reportedly getting close to being cleared for five on five practices.
We’ve been hearing that he has started to ramp up, and both he and the team have set a goal for him to make his season debut prior to March 1st.
And earlier today, fans got one more reason to be positive about the duo’s return as Robinson posted a picture of the two getting in some conditioning at their practice facility.
Obviously, the Knicks would love to have them back right now, but given their past injury histories, and the mystery surrounding the severity of their injuries not too long ago, it’s encouraging to know that these two should be back sooner than later.
