During Wednesday night’s game between the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks, “The Princess Diaries” actress Anne Hathaway went viral because of a near disaster.
As Knicks forward OG Anunoby tried to steal the ball from the Bulls, he fell towards the first row of seats. He was able to collect himself and avoid taking out those sitting courtside. It didn’t take long for people to notice that Hathaway was in the danger zone.
Although some fans may have found this incident scary, Hathaway loved every second of it. On Thursday night, she called it a “bucket-list moment” while recording a video for her Instagram followers.
“I almost got crashed into last night,” Hathaway said. “I’ve always wanted that to happen. Thanks, OG!”
Roughly an hour after Hathaway posted this video on Instagram, Anunoby had a subtle yet effective response.
“You’re welcome,” Anunoby wrote.

Anunoby, who signed a five-year, $212.5 million deal with the Knicks this past summer, has been very productive this season. He’s averaging 16.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
As for Hathaway, she’s also doing quite well for herself. Earlier this year, she starred in “The Idea of You,” a romantic comedy that was released on Amazon Prime Video. It was also announced that a third installment of “The Princess Diaries” will be made with her starring in it.
Hathaway, a New York native, is no stranger to cheering on the Knicks. She’s been supporting the franchise well before they regained their footing.
With the NBA season just underway, Knicks fans are hoping Hathaway will make at least a few more appearances at Madison Square Garden.
