The ongoing road trip will continue to test their resilience with no pushovers on the docket.
The New York Knicks will finish out their five-game road trip this week, playing two tough opponents and one scrappy, trappy team. Will our heroes mash their rivals or get roasted like a Thanksgiving gobbler? Let’s strain the puns no further and get into it.
Knicks at Nuggets, Monday, November 25, 2024, 9 pm ET
The Knicks are set to face the Denver Nuggets in the lofty Ball Arena on Monday. On Saturday, New York missed a chance to improve upon their record (9-7) and lost to the bottom-of-the-West Utah Jazz. Now they’ll take on a team from the better half of the conference, one that just delivered a commanding victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
This one will be a challenge, friends. The Nuggets rate as the league’s best for assists, second-best for three-point shooting percentage, and sixth for rebounding. Nikola Jokić, the reigning multiple-MVP, continues to showcase his versatility, leading his team in points, boards, and assists, while Jamal Murray adds depth to the Nuggets’ backcourt with his scoring ability. Both will be difficult defensive assignments for a shorthanded Knicks team that continues to play intermittent D. Watch it on MSG Network or League Pass.
Knicks at Mavericks, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, 7:30 pm ET
The Knicks travel to the American Airlines Center on Wednesday for a whack at our old foes the Dallas Mavericks. Both teams are navigating injuries, with Luka Dončić (wrist) out for at least a week and Daniel Gafford (shoulder) listed as day-to-day. In another tough test for our heroes, both teams boast top four offenses, but only one ranks in the top ten for defense (hint: they rhyme with phallus). Watch it on ESPN or MSG.
Knicks at Hornets, Friday, November 29, 2024, 12 pm ET
The trappiest of trap games. An extra early matinee on the day after Thanksgiving against a team that’s often underestimated? And didn’t LaMelo score 50 against the Bucks last night? Don’t get fat at the turkey feast, Knickerbockers. Watch it on MSG or League Pass.
Enjoy your weekend. And go Knicks.
