Brunson’s KAT is in the bag.
The New York Knicks will most probably have a duo of representatives in the mid-season festivities as both Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson continued to climb in the fan voting for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.
The third and final round of fan returns, released Thursday, showed KAT and JB solidifying their positions among the Eastern Conference elite.for the first half of the season.

Towns remains third among frontcourt players, now surpassing two million votes and holding a strong lead over fourth-place Paolo Banchero.
Brunson, meanwhile, sits fourth in the backcourt category, narrowing the gap to just under 27,000 votes behind Milwaukee’s Damian Lillard for the third spot.
In his debut season with the Knicks, KAT has been pivotal to New York’s strong start to the campaign. Averaging 25.3 points, 14 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting a career-best 55.2% from the field and 45% from three-point range, his performances have been dominant, to say the least. Towns earned Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors in December and is poised for his fifth All-Star selection—his first as a Knick. A thumb injury sustained earlier this week, however, sidelined Towns against the Sixers last Wednesday but he’s expected back at some point this week without surgery required to fox his finger.
Meanwhile, Brunson will fight to crack the top 3 among Eastern Conference guards through the weekend voting and has elevated his game once again this season, as if doing so was ever going to be easy. Our beloved floor general dropped a silly 44 points against Milwaukee on Sunday despite battling a shoulder injury, followed by a 38-point performance in the overtime victory against Philadelphia a couple days ago. This season, he’s averaging 25 points and a career-high 7.6 assists per game, proving doubters (the few of them remaining out there) wrong once more.
Knicks fans still have time to influence the final tallies, with voting closing on Monday, Jan. 20.
Fan votes account for 50% of the All-Star starter selection process, while media and player votes make up the remaining 50%.
The All-Star starters (whatever that means considering there is a weird four-team tournament format for this year’s event) will be revealed on Jan. 23, and reserves, selected by NBA coaches, will follow on Jan. 30.
