here’s hoping Mitchell Robinson and the Knicks medical staff properly address all aspects of his body/mind during his rehab and recovery.
Mitch Rob has acknowledged in the past that being away from the game is a challenge to his mental health.

Knicks center Mitchell Robinson is still recovering from foot surgery, likely out until around Christmas
With Isaiah Hartenstein now in OKC, that leaves the feisty but undersized Precious Achiuwa and the athletic but raw Jericho Sims at the five.

Knicks center Mitchell Robinson will not be ready for the start of the season, league sources confirmed to ESPN. He’s expected to be out for the first couple of months of the season, leaving an already thin center spot even thinner for New York.

Yaron Weitzman: The Knicks’ priority is to be smart with Robinson’s rehab—they do not want to rush him back before he’s 100%. The Knicks also maintain that they are confident in the current depth and versatility of their roster. Robinson underwent the procedure after suffering a stress injury to his left foot during the playoffs. He also had surgery on his left foot in December after suffering a stress fracture. -via Twitter @YaronWeitzman / September 23, 2024
Jericho Sims, who is expected to compete for the important backup spot behind Mitchell Robinson, rehabbed the past two offseasons from surgeries and was limited in his preparation for those respective seasons. A year ago, Sims tore his labrum and cuff tendon in his shooting shoulder, requiring a procedure that took his rehab through the summer. Two years ago, Sims underwent surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb, a source told The Post. -via New York Post / August 1, 2024
