Monday night put a scare into Knicks fans and players alike when Tracy Morgan was wheelchaired off the Madison Square Garden floor after vomiting from his courtside seat.
Play was stopped for about 10 minutes as MSG staff tended to the beloved actor and comedian. But the Knicks ended up with the win and Morgan shared an update with those concerned on social media.
“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” the “SNL” alum said on Instagram.
“More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” he laughed.
Knicks star Josh Hart was among those wishing Morgan the best — shouting out the multiple-time Emmy nominee after the game.
“First and foremost, obviously we hope everything’s good with Tracy Morgan,” Hart told reporters following New York’s 116-95 victory. “Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”
Thankfully it appears like Tracy is already on the mend after dealing with some serious health concerns over the past decade-plus.
It’s still unclear what food might’ve caused Morgan to have that reaction, but hopefully it wasn’t from anything served at The Garden otherwise a lot of people might’ve been feeling queasy on their subway ride home.
