There is some speculation around the league that OG Anunoby could consider other franchises in addition to the New York Knicks, reports Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
The Knicks acquired Anunoby during the season via trade with the combination of assets sent out and his presence as a CAA client has created an expectation that he would eventually re-sign. But Anunoby’s situation is believed to be somewhat less certain than his former teammate Pascal Siakam with the Indiana Pacers, who is strongly expected to re-sign.
Anunoby has a $19.9 million player option for the 24-25 season with the Knicks that he is expected to decline.
During his half season with the Knicks, Anunoby was highly productive but had multiple injury stints.
The Philadelphia 76ers could be among the teams to pursue Anunoby.
