Mitchell Robinson made this season-debut on Friday night during the New York Knicks’ 114-113 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Robinson had six points and five rebounds in 12 minutes.
“The first game back, for the amount of time he’s been out, I thought it was really, really good. We’ve been seeing it in practice too. So this is the next step,” said Tom Thibodeau after the game.
Thibodeau said that Robinson will continue to play in short spurs and that he “brings a different dimension to our team.”
With Ariel Hukporti set to miss the next 4-6 weeks, the Knicks are considering Moses Brown to fill the 15th roster spot.
