Many fans were worried about Tracy Morgan last night after the actor and comedian had to be wheeled off the floor in the third quarter of the Knicks’ 116-95 win over the Heat at Madison Square Garden.
The game had to be delayed for roughly 10 minutes after the “SNL” and “30 Rock” alum got sick and vomited from his courtside seat — which put a scare into a lot of folks given his recent health struggles.
Morgan chalked the unfortunate incident up to food poisoning and sent a message out to everyone who expressed concern via his Instagram page.
“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” the Knicks super fan said.
“More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” he joked. “#goknicks.”
After the game, Knicks guard Josh Hart made sure to send well wishes Morgan’s way, as did a spokesperson for The Garden.
“We hope everything’s good with Tracy Morgan,” Hart said, via The New York Post. “Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” an MSG representative added.
As scary as it was, it’s great to see Tracy in good spirits after something like that. The 56-year-old Bronx native has supported the Knicks his whole life and has dealt with a number of health challenges since his original run on television.
Morgan had to undergo a kidney transplant back in 2010 and fought through a two-week coma following a 2014 car crash.
Hopefully he’s able to get back on his feet soon and cheer New York on for this year’s postseason run!
