They went to OT the first time. Can they surprise the second?
The Nets fought, they clawed, they scrapped… but it wasn’t enough to take down to Celtics on Friday. An overtime loss will suffice in this scenario, though Brooklyn enters this game as the 6-seed with only three games separating them from the No. 3 seed. So, are moral victories a thing? Sure, given their scenario. But you play to win the game.
Let’s see what they got.

Game Preview | Brian Fleurantin
Injuries: Ben Simmons is questionable with left calf tightness. No Day’Ron Sharpe, Trendon Watford, or Bojan Bogdanovic for Brooklyn. Dariq Whitehead and two-way Jaylen Martin are back from Long Island as well. Cui Yongxi and Tyrese Martin, the other two-ways, are still with Brooklyn. For Boston, we know Kristaps Porzingis is out. With this being night two of a back-to-back, we’ll see if anyone else sits.
The Game: The turnovers will tell the story of this game. Boston coughed it up 20 times last night and the Hawks were able to score 19 points on those mistakes. It’ll make for an interesting dynamic against a Nets team that hasn’t forced as many turnovers as you’d think.
