Nets head to Milwaukee for a post-Christmas back-to-back.
Hopefully you enjoyed some eggnog, gifts, and family time during the Holidays. No coal and no stress to win or lose in Nets World — depending on how you want things to unfold. Before we blast off into 2025, the 2024 Brooklyn Nets are reeling a bit, losers in eight of the last 10 and five of the last six.
They’ll face a Milwaukee team that’s 10-4 on its home floor and getting it together since a horrid start to the season. Not great news for the Nets’ pick.

Game Preview | Brian Fleurantin
Injuries: No Cam Thomas, Ziaire Williams, Bojan Bogdanovic, or Shake Milton. Dorian Finney-Smith (left calf contusion.) Ben Simmons (
first night of a back to backlower back injury management) is available.Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo (back spasms) and Damian Lillard (non-COVID illness) are both out. AJ Johnson and Chris Livingston are also out with non-COVID illnesses.
The game: Brooklyn won the first game while Milwaukee took the second. These teams wrap up the season series next week. Having Khris Middleton back is a godsend for the Bucks. He can score at all three levels, is someone they can turn to in crunch time, and gives Doc Rivers another player who can get their own shot. That takes on even more importance in the playoffs when possessions become scarcer and more valuable. His health is of the utmost importance so Doc and friends will have to manage his minutes throughout the year so he’s healthy for the postseason.
