Nets go for FOUR straight wins.
Tank squad, you there? If so, you might not be well. The Nets have won three straight games and enter the second night of a back-to-back against the NBA’s worst Washington Wizards. In most cases, we’d call this a tankfest, but even the present Nets are lightyears ahead of this Washington team. It doesn’t make matters any better (for the tankers) that Kyle Kuzma was shipped off earlier today — one less player.
There was quite the conflict of interests for Nets fans last night. They scored six points in six seconds and defeated the Houston Rockets on a D’Angelo Russell game-winner. Barclays Center erupted, further proving that people want good hoops in Brooklyn. They just have to wait a little bit more. Discourse on social media was ugly after — more proof that Nets fans need to root for the team however they’d like, in whatever respect, without going at one another’s neck. No one or the other is or wrong.
The 2024-25 Wizards are pacing near the 2009-10 NJ Nets (12-70)… Nets ended up with Derrick Favors despite a 25% chance at the No. 1 pick.
The irony: Wizards (10.3%) landed the No. 1 overall pick that year. The 2025 Nets currently have a 10.5% chance at No. 1 pic.twitter.com/QO6SjYGY3m

Game Preview | Brian Fleurantin
Injury Report: Washington: Saadiq Bey, Alex Sarr, and Marvin Bagley III are out with injuries and Kyle Kuzma and Jonas Valuncias are gone, traded to Milwaukee and Sacramento, respectively. Nets: Night two of a back-to-back so we’ll see who else is out tonight. Ben Simmons is expected back and Cam Johnson makes his return. The usual suspects are still out: Cam Thomas, Noah Clowney, Bojan Bogdanovic, De’Anthony Melton and Maxwell Lewis. Day’Ron Sharpe is questionable.
The game: Amazingly, this is the first meeting of the season between the two teams. After a game like last night, the Nets are riding pretty high. The winning streak is at three and as we are a little over 24 hours away from the trading deadline, teams will be making last ditch efforts to map out the rest of the season. It doesn’t appear that much is cooking on the Nets front, but stranger things have happened. Stay tuned.
