The Brooklyn Nets won’t sign point guard Killian Hayes to a second 10 Day contract. Hayes’ initial 10 Day deal with Brooklyn expired on Sunday.
Part of the thinking here is that Brooklyn’s backcourt is returning to full health. D’Angelo Russell could return soon, while Cam Thomas recently returned after a lengthy absence.
Hayes played well for the Nets on the deal. In six games, five of them starts, the 23-year-old averaged 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. Hayes also shot 38.1% on 21 three-point attempts.
