The Brooklyn Nets have seen plenty of players come through the organization throughout the franchise’s history in New Jersey and in Brooklyn. While Brooklyn has spent time as a title contender and as a rebuilding team, there are some players who have left their mark on the organization through different iterations and one of those players is officially retiring from the NBA.
Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported on Thursday that former Nets sniper Joe Harris is calling it quits on his NBA career after a decade of play. While Harris has played for three different teams during his career, he is best known for his time with the Nets as he spent seven of those years with the franchise and even put his name on the map as a result.
Harris will always be known as arguably the best shooter in the history of the Nets and he has had plenty of moments where he showed that was also one of the best shooters in the NBA during his playing days. For Nets fans that have been following the team since Harris’ early days in the league, they have recognized what he has meant to the organization and gave him his props on social media:
