The Brooklyn Nets have re-signed Trendon Watford on his qualifying offer worth $2.7 million.
Watford (6’9″, 241) originally signed with Brooklyn as a free agent on Aug. 3, 2023, appearing in 63 games (two starts) in the 2023-24 season, averaging 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.6 minutes per game. Watford shot 52.7 percent from the field and notched career high shooting percentages from 3-point range (39.7 percent) and the free-throw line (79.4 percent).
Watford, who is represented by Thaddeus Foucher and Joe Smith, went undrafted in 2021 out of LSU.
