Rutgers is pulling out all the stops in its attempt to upset Ohio State, the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff rankings.
Facing 4th-and-1 from their own 43 and trailing 7-0 in the second quarter, Rutgers lined up like it was going to attempt some type of quarterback sneak or “Tush Push” play.
Instead, the Scarlet Knights ran a “Fumblerooski,” with quarterback Gavin Wimsatt taking the snap and putting the ball between his legs, where running back Kevin Monangai grabbed it and took off around the left side.
By the time Ohio State chased Monangai down, he had picked up 45 yards, the longest gain surrendered by the Buckeyes all season.

The trick play led to a Jai Patel field goal, which trimmed the OSU lead to 7-3.
After a failed fake punt by the Buckeyes in their own territory on the ensuing possession, Rutgers took over with excellent field position.
The Scarlet Knights seem poised to take the lead over on CBS.
