The Red Storm look to advance to their first Big East Tournament championship game since 2000, which was also the last time they won the tournament
After sprinting past Butler in a 79-58 rout on Thursday, St. John’s are playing on Friday night of the Big East Tournament for a second straight year, where they will face 5-seed Marquette days after Zuby Ejiofor stunned them with an overtime buzzer-beating floater in the regular season finale. In yesterday’s quarterfinal, the Golden Eagles came back from a 14-point second-half deficit and beat Xavier, 89-87.
