Rick Pitino has landed another recruit at St. John’s.
VMI transfer Sean Conway committed during a weekend visit.
The 6-foot-5 Fairfield, Conn., native averaged 12.1 points and 4.9 rebounds as a senior at VMI. He shot 42% from the field and 38% from deep.
“Sean is a self-made player with a tireless work ethic,” Cushing Academy coach James Cormier told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s been efficient and productive at every stop along his basketball journey.
“He is a 3-level scorer, moves well without the ball, underrated passer and inch for inch one of the best rebounders in the country. His high IQ will allow him to compete at the highest level of college basketball.”
St. John’s also landed former Iona guard Daniss Jenkins and hosted Iona transfer Cruz Davis this weekend.
