This season’s broadcast schedule was unveiled on Wednesday and the Red Storm continues to garner major television exposure
The Rick Pitino effect continues to bear fruit for St. John’s, particularly in national television exposure.
On Wednesday, the Big East released broadcast schedules for all eleven of its members. At least five St. John’s regular season games will be broadcast on major broadcast networks this season—four on FOX and one on CBS—along with two additional FS1 games that can be potentially flexed onto FOX.
If both games are flexed onto FOX, the seven nationally televised regular season games would match last season’s total for the most national broadcasts in a single Red Storm season since the Big East’s realignment in 2013.
At least 13 games will be broadcast on FS1 or FS2 this season, eight of which are conference meetings. Six Red Storm games, including three Big East matchups and their two games in the Baha Mar Bahamas Championship, will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
This season will also be the first in NBC Sports’ new partnership with the Big East conference, bringing some games onto the network’s streaming service Peacock. Four St. John’s games will be exclusively streamed on Peacock this season, including the Red Storm’s Big East regular season opener against DePaul on December 17.
