Syracuse’s final nonconference match against Loyola Maryland was canceled due to weather conditions, according to a press release from the team. The game will not be rescheduled.
SU finished with a 5-2-1 record in nonconference play, last defeating Providence 2-1 on Oct. 8. After the Orange took a 1-0 lead, the Friars equalized in the 59th minute before Chimere Omeze netted the game winner.
SU has three games remaining in the regular season, all against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. The Orange travel to Charlottesville to play Virginia on Oct. 19 and play at Clemson on Oct. 25 before concluding the regular season at SU Soccer Stadium against Pittsburgh on Nov. 1.
