First ACC Championship of 24-25
The Syracuse Orange cross-country team will be the first to compete for an ACC Championship this year. The meet is this morning in Cary, NC with the men’s 8k at 9:30 and women’s 5k at 10:30 on the ACC Network.
Both Orange teams come into today’s meet ranked- the men are 22nd and the women 23rd this week. Today’s races are going to be loaded and for the first time in a while there are 4-5 teams who could win on the men’s side. #6 Notre Dame, #7 UNC, #10 Stanford, #19 Wake Forest and the Orange all head into today with an opportunity to take the title. Syracuse showed a strong group among their top 5 runners but the Orange have to get closer to the leaders if they want to win their 7th ACC title. Sam Lawler was 10th last year and he’s the top Syracuse returner.
