Davion is the brother of current Syracuse defensive back Davien Kerr, a freshman on the team.
Another day means another prospect has committed to join coach Fran Brown and the Syracuse Orange in 2025.
On Thursday, Athlete Davion Kerr announced he will be committing to the Orange. Kerr chose Syracuse over offers from Maine, UMass, Morgan State and Wagner. He officially received an offer from the Orange in June.
He is the brother of Davien Kerr, who currently plays defensive back this year for the Orange.
Davion is currently listed at six-foot-one and 180 lbs. Kerr has no ranking in any of the major recruitment sites — On3, ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports. His hometown is Oakdale (CT) and attends St. Thomas More.

Kerr is listed as an athlete but is expected to, like his brother, also be listed as a defensive back according to 247Sports.
“I feel like I really belong there. I feel like my talents and my ability to understand football is going to be at a next level. The love and passion the coaches have behind the guys is awesome,” Kerr told 247Sports. “It’s going to be a dangerous sight seeing the same person on the field. I’m just like him (Davien). Y’all are going to be blown away when you see what’s coming.”
Coach Brown continues to add on to a 2025 recruiting class that now includes 31 players. The Orange’s 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 45 overall with one four-star prospect and 29 three-star prospects, according to On3.
