Recruits from coast to coast
Fran Brown and the Syracuse Orange continue to build for next season and beyond as they’ve received three recent commitments.
Florida cornerback Kaylib Singleton chose Syracuse over a number of other offers including Florida, LSU and Texas A&M. The 6’1 corner from Fleming Island, Florida is considered a four-star by Rivals and is a consensus top 70 corner in the 2025 class.
Singleton will be joined in the 2025 class by Miami defensive end Deangelo Thompson. The 6’4 225 pound Thompson was committed to Florida Atlantic but decided to flip over the weekend. He also had offers from Kentucky, Coastal Carolina and FIU.
The third recent commit is 2026 defensive back Jaxson Gates from La Verne, California. The 6’1 Gates is a three-star in his class and he becomes the second Syracuse commit in the 2026 class.
Syracuse’s 2025 class is now up to 32 commits and ranks 37th by 247 and 44th (#brand) by On3.
