Staying on the East Coast
The Syracuse Orange opened up spring practice by landing two new commitments to the 2026 class.
E’Shawn Sutton of Winter Park, Florida and Darnell Stokes of Dagsboro, Delaware committed to Syracuse bringing the 2026 class up to 11 commits, Right now 247 lists this Syracuse class as 15th in the country, while On3 has them 36th.
Sutton is listed as unranked athlete, but the 6’1 190 lb player had offers from Pitt and Georgia Tech among others. Sutton told On3 that he felt at home with the Orange
“It just felt like family and me and Coach Fran just connected beyond coaching wise,” Sutton said. “Our backgrounds are a little similar and the entire coaching staff makes me feel wanted.”
The unranked Stokes is a 6’2 wide receiver/defensive back who was the Delaware Offensive Player of the Year in 2024. Stokes scored 22 touchdowns (12 receiving and 10 rushing) on just 74 offensive touches. He had offers from Rutgers, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
We expect more commitment news as the on-campus visits continue through the spring and early summer.
