Another intriguing portal target Syracuse is in the running to possibly land.
With the transfer portal just days away from officially opening up, the Syracuse Orange appear to be showing interest in a veteran scoring guard from the Summit League.
Syracuse is one of 20 programs who has reached out to former North Dakota State Bison guard Jacari White. The full list of schools interested in White besides the Orange include four other ACC teams along with notable names like Alabama, Ole Miss, Oregon and Tennessee.
Joe Tipton of On3 was the first to report.

White had a breakout year for the Bison in 2024-25, averaging career-highs in points (17.1), rebounds (4.3) and assists (2.3) while shooting 45% from the field, around 40% from three on seven attempts per game and 85% from the foul line. He also played a career-high 30.9 minutes in 31 games for North Dakota State, 29 of which came as a starter.
That performance over the course of this past year led to White earning a spot on the All-Summit League second team.
White certainly brings a balance of scoring and steadily improving production to the table. He started off his collegiate career playing one season at State College of Florida. White would eventually play three years for the Bison, improving his scoring average by 10 points and doubling the number of shots he took between his first season with NDSU in 2022-23 through this past year.
Despite playing four years already, he can still play for one more season following a ruling that grants an additional year of eligibility for ex-JUCO players.
Syracuse will enter the transfer portal period with four open scholarships, assuming none of the remaining players with eligibility from the 2024-25 roster choose to explore their options.
