Still a Field Hockey School though
The Syracuse Orange athletics season is in full swing so we are back with these weekly recaps as we look to broaden our coverage of the Olympic sports.
Field Hockey (10-3, 4-2)
Syracuse swept the weekend against Stanford and California. After an easy 3-0 win over the Cardinal on Friday, the Orange had to rally for a 2-1 overtime win over the Golden Bears on Sunday.

Bo van Kempen had both goals on Sunday and is now up to 11 on the season. The Orange will travel to play Virginia on Friday.
Women’s Soccer (6-8-1, 0-7)
Syracuse lost 3-0 to Pittsburgh despite 14 saves from Shea Vanderbosch, which is the fifth-most in program history. The Orange have only scored twice in seven ACC games as last season’s offensive struggles have returned.
Syracuse will host NC State this Thursday as they look to get their first ACC win.
Volleyball (12-6, 0-6)
The undefeated non-conference record has not led to success in ACC play as the Orange fell on the road at Stanford (3-0) and California (3-2).

It’s back home for the Orange this weekend as they host Miami and Florida State in the Women’s Building.
Cross-Country
The Orange will split squads next weekend with one group at Princeton on Friday and the other at Pre-Nationals back in Wisconsin on Saturday.
Ice Hockey (2-3, 0-0)
Syracuse dropped a 4-2 decision to #8 St. Lawrence and then lost twice by 2-1 scores against RPI. Charli Kettyle and Jackson Kinsler are tied for the Syracuse team lead with four points each.
The Orange head to Quinnipiac for a weekend series.
