Two home wins for field hockey as well
The Syracuse Orange athletics season is in full swing so we are back with these weekly recaps as we look to broaden our coverage of the Olympic sports.
Field Hockey (4-1, 0-0)
The Orange bounced back with two home wins. Syracuse shut out Northeastern 2-0 and then edged Lafayette 2-1 yesterday when Bo van Kempen scored this goal in the final minute.

Syracuse travels to play North Carolina and Longwood next weekend.
Women’s Soccer (6-3-1, 0-2)
The Syracuse win streak was snapped as the Orange dropped their first two ACC road games- 4-1 to SMU and 1-0 to Virginia Tech.
The Orange travel to play Florida State on Thursday before returning home to host North Carolina next Sunday.
Volleyball (9-0, 0-0)
Syracuse swept Siena, NJIT, and Idaho this week in Albany to make it nine in a row to open 2024. Ava Palm and Sydney Moore were selected to the All-Tournament Team

The Orange will be home this week to face LeMoyne, Iowa State and Cornell in their final matches before ACC play begins.
Cross-Country
Syracuse’s men won the Spiked Shoe Invitational last Friday while the women took second. Check out our full recap here.
