The Syracuse Orange open up play in the 2025 ACC Tournament tonight and both SB Nation readers and oddsmakers believe it would be a miracle for the Orange to cut down the nets in Charlotte.
Fanduel odds have the Orange among a group of schools at +30000 to win the ACC auto-bid. The Duke Blue Devils are the clear favorite at -330 with the Clemson Tigers (+650) and Louisville Cardinals (+700).
After those three, the odds shift dramatically with North Carolina next at +2500 and SMU +6500. With Clemson holding the only ACC win over Duke this season, there’s some value in taking the Tigers this week in Charlotte.
SB Nation readers feel Duke is the overwhelming choice to complete the ACC sweep behind Player of the Year Cooper Flagg. Fans also seem a bit higher on North Carolina putting them just behind Clemson and Louisville.
Hopefully no one had money on Pitt to win as the Panthers are already on the way out of North Carolina after falling to Notre Dame this afternoon. Let’s hope Syracuse can find a way to beat Florida State tonight and advance into tomorrow’s round against SMU.
