Orange face Georgia Tech this morning
The Syracuse Orange tennis team struggled in the ACC during the regular season, managing just two wins in conference play while earning the #16 seed in the ACC Championships.
The Orange have matched their win total over the last two days- knocking off #17 seed Boston College 4-2 and then the #9 Clemson Tigers 4-3. Syracuse will face #8 Georgia Tech this morning at 10:00 in the 3rd round.
Against Boston College, Syracuse won the doubles point sweeping all three matches and singles wins by Shiori Ito, Miyuka Kimoto and Monica Wojcik sealed the match.
The Orange got off to a good start against the Tigers by winning the doubles point. Syracuse held on thanks to singles wins from Kimoto, Nelly Knezkova and Serafima Shastova to pull off the upset.
