Rivalry: 135-0, Syracuse
Current Streak: 135, Syracuse
First Meeting: Before the era of modern football, Syracuse somehow defeated Bye Week University 1-0. People quickly realized that was stupid and changed football rules to make scoring one singular point nearly impossible now.
Last Meeting: Syracuse won last year’s game due to forfeit due to Bye Week U having too many injured players.
Head Coaches: Syracuse – Fran Brown (first year – 2-0) | Bye Week U – Bran Frown (first year – 0-2)
Coach Bio: Frown used his southwest roots developed in Arizona to convince Bye Week AD Wohn Jildhack to hire him as the next head coach of the Fightin’ Byes. A former Eastern Carolina player, Frown developed as a wide receivers coach in his various assistant coaching stints before joining Bye Week U.
Last Year: Bye Week fans finally had enough of eight straight winless seasons under Bino Dabers and the Fightin’ Byes let him go at the end of the season.
Last Game: By some miracle granted by a higher power, Florida State defeated Bye Week U.
“Fear Me, I’ve Killed Hundreds of Timelords”: Transfer quarterback Myle KcCord is doing everything he can to will Bye Week to a victory, but unfortunately he leads the country in interceptions.
If Syracuse Wins: There’s going to be a police escort for the champagne delivery for Ryan Day.
If Syracuse Loses: Someone find another press conference clip for Fran to play at practice.
Fun Fact: Kyle McCord is the first Syracuse quarterback to have multiple 300 yard, four touchdown games since Ryan Nassib in 2012. Nassib only had two games like that in 2012, with the second coming in the eighth game of the season.
