A title for Slim
In the inaugural season of the Unrivaled league, Syracuse Orange alum Brittney Sykes is part of history as the player to score the winning points in the championship game.
With Rose BC missing top player Angel Reese in the title game, Sykes stepped in with a season-high 21 points to go along with 5 rebounds in Rose’s 62-54 win over Vinyl in the title game. It was her and-one which got Rose to the winning score in Unrivaled’s Elam Ending format.

Rose started the season projected to be the worst team in the six-team league, but bounced back from an 0-2 start to finish 8-6 and earn the second seed. In their semifinal game, Rose beat Laces 63-57 to advance to the title game.
The title win was worth 50k in bonus money for Sykes and all of the Rose players and maybe there’s some endorsements in Brittney’s future.
