The Huskies are everywhere in the W.
The Connecticut Sun made a move to bolster their championship hopes, trading for Marina Mabrey from the Chicago Sky. In return, former UConn point guard Moriah Jefferson is heading to the Windy City along with Rachel Banham, a 2025 first round pick and a 2026 pick swap.
The deal means that all 12 WNBA teams now have at least one Husky since the Sky were the lone franchise without. Eight teams have just a single former UConn player, three have two while the Los Angeles Sparks have three.
Jefferson is currently out for after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on her right knee. She’s averaged 2.1 points in 6.8 minutes across nine games.
