The Huskies are visiting Austin this season and hosting the Longhorns next year.
UConn men’s basketball’s non-conference schedule is coming into focus as the school announced a home-and-home series with the University of Texas, one of the newest members of the SEC.
The Huskies are visiting the Moody Center on December 8th, 2024, and hosting on Dec. 12, 2025. UConn holds a 7-3 record in the all-time series with Texas, most recently defeating them in the 2023 Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden, 81-71.
UConn’s last visit to Texas ended in a 71-66 win on Dec. 29, 2015. The 2024 contest will be a homecoming of sorts for freshman Liam McNeeley, who grew up about 200 miles away.
The Huskies’ 2024 non-conference slate now features a home bout with Baylor (Dec. 5), a meeting with Gonzaga in New York City (Dec. 14), and the Maui Invitational (Nov. 25-27), whose field includes Auburn, Colorado, Dayton, Iowa State, Memphis, Michigan State, North Carolina.
