The Wildcats reached the Sweet 16 in this year’s NCAA tournament.
UConn men’s basketball added another piece to its 2025-26 schedule, as the school announced a home-and-home series with Arizona. The Wildcats will come to Connecticut this season on Nov. 19, 2025 and UConn will head out west to take on Arizona in Tucson on Nov. 18, 2026.
The Wildcats posted a 24-13 record in its first season in the Big 12 and earned a 4-seed in the NCAA tournament. Head coach Tommy Lloyd led Arizona to wins over 13-seed Akron and 5-seed Oregon before falling to Duke in the Sweet 16. Since Lloyd took over for Sean Miller in 2022, Arizona has finished the year inside the top 15 in KenPom in all four seasons and reached the Sweet 16 three times.
UConn and Arizona have faced seven times in the past in a series that dates back to the 1999-2000 season, with the Huskies holding a 5-2 advantage. The two schools last played as part of a home-and-home series in 2017 and 2018, with Arizona taking home both wins.
Huskies head coach Dan Hurley has spoken openly about looking for quality non-conference opponents, and the Wildcats certainly fit the bill. UConn’s non-conference schedule for the coming season is a still a work in progress, but the Arizona game and the final leg of a home and home against Texas at home on Dec. 12, 2025 already has the makings of a strong schedule before Big East play begins.
