The Huskies will begin preseason play with an off-site exhibition open to the public.
UConn and URI will play at Mohegan Sun on Monday, October 14th as part of the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Game benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
Rhode Island is UConn’s most common opponent of all time, with 145 meetings in a rivalry dating back to 1906-07. Though this exhibition will not count towards the series record, UConn currently leads, 77-68. Also of note, Husky head coach Dan Hurley was at URI for six seasons, leading the Rams to two NCAA Tournament Round of 32 appearances before leaving for the UConn job in 2018.
Tickets for the 2024 Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Game will go on sale on Friday, September 13, via Ticketmaster and at the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office starting Saturday, September 14. Additional details surrounding game time, and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
