Can the Giants pick themselves up off the turf?
The New York Giants season has been “over” for a while, but now it’s officially over and done with.
The Giants finished 3-14, ending on a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles backups in Week 18. The team announced the next morning that both general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll are being retained.
The team publicly acknowledges that they need to figure out the quarterback position. However, they go into the off-season in the awkward position of holding the 3rd overall pick thanks to their 45-33 win over the Indianapolis Colts. The Giants have a number of options for adding a quarterback, but might not have any good (or easy) ones for finding a long-term starter.
The team’s defensive scheme could be in flux as well. John Mara called out the defense as being a disappointment this year, yet defensive coordinator Shane Bowen is still in place.
So, we put it to you: Are you confident that the team is heading in the right direction as they start their first full rebuild in decades?
